Collingham Courtfield, a young artist and writer, seeks solace from a life of Hell he has created for himself at the “Blind Devils” Club.

There with the help of Bella, an old flame, Col plans to ruin his public image, destroying the value of his work and publicly humiliating his entourage who feed off him and his success. Col devises his final and finest hour, an exhibition entitled “Pretentious and Crap”.

The exhibition begins and Col looks set to flee, but with those around him becoming suspicious and dark forces seeking to foil his plans, Col must fight to save his life and his soul.

Just as it looks like Col has won back his freedom, Bella’s Faustian pact threatens to snare him like a rat in a cage.
